Astrocard® - Vivo
Hardware and software system for bedside patient monitoring
Unlike general-purpose bedside monitors, the Astrocard® - Vivo bedside patient monitoring system has a cardiology-specific focus, enabling the monitoring of various cardiac rhythm and conduction disorders.
The system can be deployed in either a stationary or mobile configuration.
The intelligent alarm system generates alarms not only for individual monitored parameters but also based on a combined assessment of these parameters, helping to prevent false alarms.
The compact remote measurement module facilitates sensor placement, simplifies workflows for medical staff and improves patient comfort.
Bedside patient monitor
The bedside patient monitor within the Astrocard® - Vivo bedside patient monitoring system provides:
Measurement and analysis
HR, pulse rate, oxygen saturation, CO₂ and BP, plus body temperature via 1 or 2 channels.
ECG recording
on 3 or 12 channels
Automatic analysis of cardiac arrhythmias, ST-segment dynamics, QRS complexes and QT intervals.
Respiratory rate analysis
Based on ECG or capnography data.
System operation
The system continues to operate for 120 minutes on its internal power source if the external power source is disconnected.
The bedside patient monitor provides the following functions for continuous monitoring of the patient's vital signs:
- Audible and visual alerts to medical staff when monitored parameters exceed critical thresholds
- Configuration of critical thresholds for monitored parameters according to the patient's age and condition
- Real-time display of monitored parameters as physiological waveforms, numerical values and trends
- Storage of the patient's monitored-parameter recordings in the database
- Complete transmission of information over the computer network to the central monitoring station
